Help
Chapter 1
Tom was tired, he was sweating and panting as he ran. His handgun in his hand and the bat in its holster on his back. Hes picked up tricks on the way of surviving in this world filled with zombies. First he learned to travel light. He kept only his two weapons on him. He ate where ever he could find food and he only wore one set of clothing. Shorts, a plan grey T and a thin sweater. He didn't need anything else. In the winter his winter coat would come in and help out. Two he learned to shoot for the heads. He learned that if you shoot them in the head they will go down with one shot. Hopefully he didn't want to make sure that they were dead after they went down. Three always run. Dont try and stand and fight.
Tom was from Springfield MA, but started to head west, what ever was on the east coast died and he knew it. He really didnt know where he was at the moment, he guessed NYC.
"Dammit" Tom said as he jolted over a car and dashed into an alley way.
"I cant last like this" he said looking for an escape route, most alleys had stairs or objects in them to jump on to escape a zombie horde, thats something else he learned. He quickly found an escape hatch and pulled it down, the zombies were quickly approaching as he tried to lower the stairs to him, he took one hand off the stairs to shoot a Cheetah who was faster than most of his pack. The stairs were down and he bolted up them, he ran fast and wasn't going to pull them up, he didnt care about the stairs. they quickly lead him to the roof, the zombies quickly approaching and gaining on him. He was afraid of two things, one that the zombies might get to him, two his plan might not work. He looked ahead at the building's end and toward the next one. It was about a 10 foot jump. He picked up speed ignoring the fact that his side hurt,
"When your life depends on it" he said as he approached the edge and leaped off, he didn't dare look down or behind him, about halfway through the jump he could hear the sounds of zombies hitting the floor below, which scared him half to death.
"I'm going to make it" he said with a smile, suddenly and sadly his face turned to complete horror as he noticed he was coming up short. He started to panic and move in the air, he watched as he started to fall before reaching the building, he reached out and luckily caught the egde of the roof with his free hand. He quickly pulled himself up now crying cause he almost died. He layed down on the roof sweating and trying to catch his breath. He knew better not to stay in one place to long. He got up and looked over at the other buildings. He stopped when he saw a mall. He knew that it might have some food, and a change of clothes for once.
" It might have zombies" he said to himself as he started to walk toward the mall, and checking to see that he had everything.
Tom ran as fast as he could through the parking lot of the mall, the young wolf hid behind a totaled car hiding from sight of the few roaming zombies, Tom didnt want the zombies to see him, now theirs a few, later theirs alot he would think in his mind when he saw only a couple zombies. Tom knew that most malls had a back entrance for loading and unloading things to sell in the store. If he was going to get in unnoticed that was going to be the way. He placed his gun in the holster he got off a dead cop and pulled his bat from its holster. He knew that he might have to kill a couple of zombies to get to where he needed to go. He kept crouch as he slowly walked to the back of the mall, hiding behind cars and poles when ever he could. He was almost at the back when he heard a sqerrch. He turned his head and saw a zombie pointing at him,
"*****!!!!!" he said as he got up from crouching and bolting to the back, he turned the corner and saw a door that lead into the building. It was his only chance. He looked back and saw that a zombie was chasing after him. 'what only one' he thought to himself, but knew better than to try and fight it. He got to the door and tried pushing it open. It was locked.
"Dammit!!" he yelled aloud, now looking back at the zombie who was quickly approaching. He grabbed his gun stepped back a couple feet and shot three times at the lock. He then kicked the door in and slammed it shut behind him. But it was too late, the zombie got to the door and pushed it open, Tom had no other choice, he shot the zombie in the leg causing the poor dog to fall face first to the ground, he then shot again killing him. He opened the door and tossed the dog out and closed it behind him. He knew that firing his weapon would only mean that what ever or whom ever was in the building would know he was their. He found a couple of boxes....heavy boxes and placed them in front of the door to prevent anything from coming in. He then started to walk through the loading dock to another door which lead him to a hallway.
"I guess this leads to the mall" he said holding his gun in a police fashion, he had to be ready to shoot if need be.
Tom reached the end of the hallway and found a door "well what ever is on the other side i have to brave it" he said putting his finger on the trigger, he slowly opened the door and to his surprises nothing was their, he took his finger off the trigger and walked up to a map of the building, he found the spot which said "you are here". He was in the back of the building. Unfortunantly it didnt say how many floors the building was. He sighed and found the nearest food court on the map. "Finally" he said grabbing his belly with his paw. He started to walk in the direction of the food court when he was hit from behind and sent flying. He was caught off gaurd and landed on his face. He rolled over to see a zombie with a huge arm.
" What in gods name is that" he said getting up, he fired twice before this new zombie charged at him. Tom's eyes widened and he leaped to the side nearly dodging the attack. He got to his feet quickly and ran into a nearby toy store. He hid in between the rows of toys trying to hide from this beast. He was going to run to the left side of the store when he stepped on a toy. The toy let out a loud high pitch sound, tom stopped and closed his eyes in disappointment and he heard the zombie charge into the store, easily blowing away anything that was in his way.
"Was this guy a chronic masterbater" he said running toward him. Tom had some tricks on keeping alive, as he ran he shot the monster in his leg once, but that didnt help. Tom was getting desperate as he then unloaded the rest of the clip into the monsters leg. He fell.
"Thank god" he said as he leaped over the zombie, but sadly the zombie had some smarts and lunged his gigantic arm in the air and hit Tom as he was leaping which caused him to fly upward and hit the ceiling. He fell only inches from the beast. He started to crawl and reload his weapon. Tom was in tears from the pain and terror that he was feeling.
"***** ***** ***** ***** *****" he muttered. He tried to get up but his leg was hurt and he stumbled back to crawling. He turned to see the monster was on his feet and making his way to him
